Le Bard Park Improvements Phase II, CC-1668.

Statement of Issue:
Plans and specifications for improvements at the Le Brad Park tennis courts and clubhouse facility are in final preparation with advertisement for bids expected in February 2023. Staff is seeking support to begin the public bidding process.
Funding Source:
The engineer’s cost estimate for this project is $800,000. Funds in the amount of $788,881.30 are available in Park Development Impact Fee Account Number 22845017.82900 for the project. It is expected that an unknown amount of additional funding will be necessary pending receipt of construction bids. Additional funds as needed will be made available from the Schroeder Park Improvement project Account Number 31440005.82800 for the project.

Motion to approve the project for the Le Bard Park Improvements Phase II, CC-1668, is in conformance with the previously approved Capital Improvement Program.

Analysis:
The Le Bard Park Improvements Phase II project will continue improvements to the Le Bard Park facilities including removal and replacement of the aged and deteriorated tennis courts, demo and remove the existing clubhouse building, providing additional open park greenspace, and revise the adjacent landscape and irrigation.
