Statement of Issue:
Over the past 2 years, the Public Works Department has been engaged with a consultant team to develop the City's first Mobility Plan. The final Draft version of the plan is now available for review and comment by key City departments, advisory boards, and commissions.

Financial Impact:
The review of the Draft Mobility Plan will not result in any commitments to fund specific projects or efforts and will not directly result in any financial impacts. Approval and adoption by the City Council is likely to result in the development of future projects and enable or support the City in applying for competitive grant funds for mobility and complete streets efforts.

Staff is asking members of the CIAB/PWC to review the document and provide comments or suggestions to staff by May 14, 2024.

Analysis:
In the Fall of 2021, the City began an effort to develop the City's first Mobility Plan by retaining the services of an engineering and planning team led by Sam Schwartz Engineering. The more than 2-year process of developing the Draft Mobility Plan for Huntington Beach included a great deal of research work within our community, including soliciting public input, hosting meetings with key stakeholders in the City, and meetings with key staff in various City departments. The expertise of the consultant team was also a vital part of the development and preparation of the plan.
