Statement of Issue:
At the January 19th City Council meeting, the City Council directed staff to take the appropriate actions required to move the regular City Council meetings to the First and Third Tuesday of the month. Adopting Resolution No. 2021-39 will update Section 3 of the City Council Manual to change the regularly-scheduled Council meetings from Mondays to Tuesdays. If the City Council meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting will be held on the next business day.

Alternative Action(s):
Do not adopt this resolution and direct staff accordingly.
Analysis:
At the January 19th City Council Meeting, Mayor Kim Carr submitted an H-Item requesting that the City Council consider moving the regularly-scheduled City Council meetings to the first and third Tuesday of the month. The City Council meetings protocols are documented in Section 3 of the City Council Manual, and are amendable by adopting a resolution. At that time, the City Council directed staff to move forward with the City Council meeting day change, and bring back the necessary documentation to formalize this action.
By adopting Resolution No. 2021-39, the regularly-scheduled meetings will be moved from Mondays to Tuesdays. If the regularly-scheduled meeting falls on a holiday, the City Council meeting will be held on the next business day.
