Statement of Issue:

Public law requires that the City Council designate the persons authorized to execute financial transactions in the name of the City of Huntington Beach.  City Council authorization is requested to update the list and titles of persons designated to transact on the City’s behalf.

There is no fiscal impact associated with these changes.

Analysis:

Public law requires that the City Council designate the persons authorized to execute financial transactions in the name of the City of Huntington Beach.  City Council authorization is requested to update the list and titles of persons designated to transact on the City’s behalf.

 

Currently, the Assistant City Manager, City Treasurer, Finance Manager-Budget, Finance Manager-Accounting Services, and Finance-Manager-Treasury are authorized to execute financial transactions on the City’s behalf.  Due to recent vacancies and title changes for staff, it is recommended the resolution be updated to amend signers to reflect and record these changes with the Office of the City Clerk.
