Statement of Issue:
City Council is requested to approve an amendment to the original three-year contract with Waymakers, for the management of the Victim and Witness Assistance Services Program. Approval of the attached amendment will renew this agreement and allow payment to Waymakers for services rendered through calendar year 2020.

Financial Impact:
The contract is contingent upon the funding of the grant provided by the California Office of Emergency Services. Upon receipt of the grant award, sufficient appropriations will be available to fund the 2020 calendar year of the Waymakers contract. A new fund "Business Unit" will be designated by the Finance Department upon receipt of the grant award.

A) Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute "Amendment No. 1 to Agreement Between the City of Huntington Beach and Community Service Programs, Inc. (Waymakers) for Victim and Witness Assistance Services;" and,

B) Approve appropriation of $114,509 contingent upon grant funding provided by the California Office of Emergency Services, and increase professional services authority for the commensurate amount.
