The City Council is being asked to adopt Resolution No. 2019-91 authorizing cancellation of the January 6, 2020, regular meeting due to the holiday season.

Alternative Action(s):
Do not approve the cancellation of the January 6, 2020, regular meeting and direct the City Clerk to prepare and post an agenda.
Analysis:
In recent times, the City Council/Public Financing Authority has adopted a resolution to cancel the first regular meeting held in January because of the holiday season. Staff also recognizes a potential to reduce expenditures and/or staff time should the Council approve cancellation of the meeting. The City Clerk and the Public Information Office will provide widespread notification of the meeting cancellation to the public including, but not limited to, informing the press, notification via the City's website, social media, and publication in the City Manager's Newsletter.
