Statement of Issue:

Public law requires that the City Council designate the persons authorized to execute financial transactions in the name of the City of Huntington Beach.  City Council authorization is requested to update the list and titles of persons designated to transact on the City’s behalf.

 

Financial Impact:

There is no fiscal impact associated with these changes.

Do not adopt the recommended action and direct staff accordingly.

 

Analysis:

Public law requires that the City Council designate the persons authorized to execute financial transactions in the name of the City of Huntington Beach.  City Council authorization is requested to update the list and titles of persons designated to transact on the City’s behalf.

 

Currently, the Chief Finance Officer, City Treasurer, Finance Manager/Deputy City Treasurer and Finance Manager/Accounting Services are authorized to execute financial transactions on the City’s behalf.  Due to recent vacancies and title changes for staff, it is recommended the Resolution be updated to amend signers to reflect these changes and recorded accordingly with the Office of the City Clerk.
