Statement of Issue:
In June 2024, the City was awarded two Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) grants totaling $8,971,000 for complete street projects. City Council action is requested to accept the grants and approve the federal funding into the City's OCTA Complete Streets Projects Fund 1299.
Financial Impact:
The estimated total project cost is $11 million which includes a City's match for design and construction. $8,971,000 in federal OCTA grant funding has been awarded for this project. This total includes $5 million in grant funding for the Banning Roundabout and Southeast Corridors (SEC) project, and $3,971,000 for the Hamilton project.
