Statement of Issue:

At the December 20, 2022 Council meeting, the City Attorney was directed by City Council to return with an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1.18 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code Relating to Anonymous Complaints.

Analysis:

City Council directed the City Attorney to return to the next Council meeting with an amendment that bans anonymous complaints by individuals to Code Enforcement about alleged business violations.
