Statement of Issue:
On March 4, 2025, the City Council called for a Special Election to be conducted on June 10, 2025, for two citizen initiatives. Following that meeting, the Orange Country Registrar of Voters requested additional clarification regarding the City's request to hold the special election.

Financial Impact:
No fiscal impact.

Adopt Resolution No. 2025-27, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, Requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to Render Specified Services to the City Relating to the Conduct of a Special Municipal Election for Two Ballot Measures Held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025"

Alternative Action(s):
Do not approve, and direct staff accordingly.

Analysis:
On March 4, 2025, the City Council called for a Special Election to be conducted on June 10, 2025, for two citizen initiatives. The City requested assistance from the Orange County Registrar of Voters (OCROV) to conduct the special election. OCROV requested additional clarification as to their role in conducting the special election which is included in the attached Resolution.
