Approve appointment of Lori Ann Sueki to the Historic Resources Board (HRB) with a partial term set to expire June 30, 2027, as recommended by Council Liaisons Andrew Gruel and Chad Williams

Statement of Issue:
There is a need to fill one vacancy on the Historic Resources Board (HRB). Per Huntington Beach Municipal Code (HBMC) 2.107.010, the Board is "to consist of not less than seven nor more than nine members, to be appointed to serve terms of four years."
Financial Impact:
There is no impact on the City's General Fund associated with approval of this appointment to the HRB.

Approve the appointment of Lori Ann Sueki as an At-Large member of the Historic Resources Board to a partial term ending June 30, 2027, as recommended by City Council Liaisons Andrew Gruel and Chad Williams.

Alternative Action(s):
Do not approve the recommended appointment to the Historic Resources Board, and direct staff accordingly.
Analysis:
The HRB is an advisory body to the City Council with a mission to encourage and promote programs and activities that enhance public awareness of community historic resources.
The HRB consists of nine At-Large members with one current vacancy. City Council Liaisons Andrew Gruel and Chad Williams reviewed the application received from Lori Ann Sueki and are recommending her appointment. If approved, Ms. Sueki would fill a partial term scheduled to expire June 30, 2027.
Lori Ann Sueki is a 34-year resident of Huntington Beach and serves on the Certified Emergency Response Team.
