Statement of Issue:

Recommended Action:
recommendation
A) Accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid submitted by Stance Construction Company in the amount of $585,014.50; and,

B) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a construction contract in a form approved by the City Attorney.
end

Alternative Action(s):
Reject all bids, or provide staff with an alternative action.

Analysis:
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) statues require the City to provide facilities and programs that are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Many of our street intersections and crossings lack the curb access ramps necessary to comply with ADA requirements. The project consists of installing ADA curb ramps throughout the City, but predominately in Maintenance Zone 2 (Attachment 1), where the City's annual pavement maintenance project has identified streets to overlay with new asphalt.
