Statement of Issue:
The City Council is requested to adopt the attached resolution authorizing a funding agreement with the CDFW accepting grant funding of up to $7,500 and authorizing the City Manager to execute grant applications and documents for oil spill response equipment staging.

Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the General Fund.

Analysis:
The City of Huntington Beach was awarded up to $7,500 for oil spill response equipment. The grantor requires for the grantee, the City of Huntington Beach, to adopt a resolution to accept grant funds from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Office of Spill Prevention and Response for Oil Spill Response Equipment. A grant agreement would also need to be signed to accept the grant for oil spill response equipment in an amount not to exceed $7,500.
