Statement of Issue:
Resolution No. 2024-59 will recite the facts of the General Municipal Election held in Huntington Beach on the 5th day of November 2024, declaring the results thereof and such other matters as provided by provisions of the City Charter and the Elections Code of the State of California.

Financial Impact:
Funds estimated at $300,000 for the costs of the election were budgeted in Fiscal Year 2024-25, Elections Account, Business Unit No. 10010201.69505 - Contract Services.

Recommended Action:

Adopt Resolution No. 2024-59, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, Reciting the Facts of the General Municipal Election held on November 5, 2024, Declaring the Results and Such Other Matters as Provided by Law," including Exhibit "A," Certificate of Registrar of Voters to Result of the Canvass of the General Election Returns.

Analysis:
The official ballot from the General Municipal Election held in the City of Huntington Beach on November 5, 2024, presented the opportunity to cast votes for three seats for City Council, one seat for City Clerk, and one seat for City Treasurer.
