Revisions to the Senior Water Utility Worker Job Class Specification

Statement of Issue:
The Senior Water Utility Worker classification is assigned to the Public Works Department at the City and is represented by Huntington Beach Municipal Teamsters (HBMT). Modification to the class specification is requested in accordance with Personnel Rule 12 regarding amendments to the City's Classification Plan.

Do not approve the updates to the job class specification and direct staff accordingly.
Analysis:
The modification to the Senior Water Utility Worker job class specification is recommended to update the minimum experience qualifications. The requested modification is intended to reflect current and consistent job requirements. The current pay grade remains the same per the HBMT MOU.
The Public Works Department collaborated with Human Resources on the recommended change, and HBMT has reviewed the proposed changes.
