Statement of Issue:
The firm of RJM Design Group has prepared a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the City's parks and facilities. The Community Services Commission is being asked to review and approve the final draft of the plan and recommend approval by the City Council.

Financial Impact:
Funding for the preparation of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan was included in the Park Development Impact FY 2021-22 budget.

Analysis:
The completion of a comprehensive citywide Master Plan is included within the Recreational Element of the City's General Plan. The firm of RJM Design Group, Inc. has prepared a Park and Recreation Master Plan (Master Plan), which identifies and addresses overall objectives for the development, renovation and refurbishing of the City's park and recreation areas and facilities. Once adopted, the Master Plan serves as a guide and implementation tool for the management and development of parks and recreation facilities within the city boundaries.
