Statement of Issue:

At the December 20, 2022 Council meeting, the City Attorney was directed by City Council to return with an Ordinance Amending Chapter 2.07 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code regarding Campaign Reform.

Analysis:

City Council directed the City Attorney to return to the next Council Meeting with an amendment to the City’s Municipal Code to raise the contribution limit to match or track that of the limits for California’s State/Assembly candidates.
