Statement of Issue:
On August 13, 2024, $1,916,490 of additional HBP grant funding was awarded for the construction of the Admiralty Drive Bridge Rehabilitation Project, CC-1450 ("Project"). City Council action is requested to accept and approve the additional HBP funding into the City's Highway Bridge Replacement & Rehab Account (HBRR) No. 96185001.82800.
Financial Impact:
The original estimated project cost is $5,880,000 which includes the construction contract with the contractor Beador, a 15% contingency, and supplemental expenses. The previously awarded project budget includes $3,280,000 of federal grant funds in the HBRR Account No. 96185001.82800, $500,000 from the Infrastructure Fund in Account No. 31440005.82300, and $2,100,000 from the Measure M Fund No. 21390036.82300. The additional grant funds of $1,916,490 will allow the City to save the Infrastructure and Measure M Funds for this project.
