Statement of Issue:
Through the Office of State Senator Dave Min, the City Manager's Office received FY 2023-24 State funding of $1,110,000 to support the cost of operating the Huntington Beach Navigation Center.

Per Resolution No. 2023-24, City Council authorization is required to approve and accept funding over $250,000, authorize the City Manager and Chief Financial Officer to execute any required documents, and approve appropriations into the FY 2023/24 Operating Budget.

Financial Impact:
A total of $1,110,000 in State funding will be added to the FY 2023/24 operating budget under Business Unit 128130103.69365 to support the cost of operating the Navigation Center.

Recommended Action:

A) Approve and accept the FY 2023-24 State Funding of $1,100,000 via the California Department of Housing and Community Development awarded to the City of Huntington Beach; and

B) Authorize the City Manager and Chief Financial Officer as the officials to execute any award-related documents to receive the funding; and

C) Appropriate the funds totaling $1,100,000 in the FY 2023/24 City Manager's Office, Homeless and Behavioral Health Division operating budget (Business Unit 128130103.69365).
