Statement of Issue:
The Capital Projects Administrator classification is assigned to the Public Works Department and is represented by the Management Employees' Organization (MEO). Modifications to the class specification are requested in accordance with Personnel Rule 12 regarding amendments to the City's classification plan.

Analysis:
Modifications to the Capital Projects Administrator job class specification are recommended to: 1) update to the "Supervision Received" section; 2) update to the "Distinguishing Characteristics" section; 3) add language to the "Minimum Qualifications" section to reflect combination language; 4) update to the "Ability to" section, 5) updates to the "Experience" and "Education" sections; 6) update to the "Licenses/Certifications" section. The requested modifications are intended to update the classification to reflect current and consistent job requirements and present hiring standards and do not materially change the fundamental nature of the work performed. The current pay grade remains the same per the MEO MOU.
The Public Works Department collaborated with Human Resources on the recommended changes, and MEO has reviewed the proposed changes.
