For the bid, the City specified that the award could be made to multiple vendors based upon lowest bid per item. Upon further discussion with Consolidated Electrical Distributors, it was found that this vendor could not provide the items specified at the prices submitted in their bid.

Staff is currently finalizing construction plans and will come back to City Council in the fall for consideration of awarding a construction contract.  The construction contract will involve installation of the equipment being purchased as well all ancillary items such as new conduit, wiring, etc. Staff was quoted lead times for the delivery of this equipment of one to two years; therefore, staff decided to purchase this equipment ahead of the actual installation.
