It is comprised of two City Council members and seven resident appointees. The overall goals of the Commission are: to reduce noise impacts from arrivals to LGB and JWA and work collaboratively with willing partners, such as the FAA, the airports, and the air carriers, to maintain airport noise-based restrictions while minimizing overflight noise wherever safe and feasible. The Commission also help work with and educate Huntington Beach community as to the resources that can be used to make our concerns known and to improve our outcomes.
