Anyone wishing to speak during PUBLIC COMMENTS must fill out and submit a form to speak.

agendized. Anyone wishing to speak on items not on today’s agenda, may do so during PUBLIC  
COMMENTS. Please note comments on closed public hearing items will not be part of the  
permanent entitlement record. Speakers on items scheduled for PUBLIC HEARING will be invited  
to speak during the public hearing. (3 MINUTES PER PERSON, NO DONATING OF TIME TO  
OTHERS)  
APPROVAL OF MINUTES  
The City welcomes public comments on agenda or non-agenda items, however, the Commission  
can take no action on this date, unless the item is agendized. Each speaker may have up to 3  
minutes for comments unless the volume of speakers warrants reducing the time allowance. Time  
cannot be donated to others.  
Individuals wishing to speak at the meeting may do so by completing a Request to Speak form  
and providing it to the Recording Secretary prior to public comments. If you are unable to attend  
and wish to provide comments, please send them via email to cgomez@surfcity-hb.org by 1:00  
PM on the day of the meeting. All written communications will be forwarded to Commissioners  
and recorded as supplemental communication.  
Request approval of March 9, 2026 meeting minutes, as corrected to  
reflect Commissioner Paris’ second to Commissioner Baker’s  
motion regarding the Library Facility Master Plan; and approval of  
the April 8, 2026 meeting minutes.  
ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS  
Amend the Library Facilities Master Plan Liaison Group to remove  
Commissioner Nim-Husaini and add Commissioner Barnes.  
Recommended Action:  
Approve the removal of Commissioner Nim-Husaini and addition of Commissioner  
Barnes to the Library Facilities Plan Liaison Group.
