Statement of Issue:
Plans and Specifications for the FY 2022/23 Sewer Lining Project, CC-1728, are in final preparation and ready for bidding.
Funding Source:
Funds in the amount of $1,375,000 are available for the project in the Sewer Service Fund in account 51189002.82600.
Recommended Action:

Motion to approve that the FY 2022/23 Sewer Lining Project, CC-1728 is in general conformance with the previously approved CIP.

Analysis:
The Engineering and Utilities Division coordinate the need for rehabilitation of sewer pipes based on maintenance history and video inspections. The scope of work for this project includes lining approximately 26,349 lineal feet (5 miles) of aged sewer main lines identified as a priority this year. The locations of the existing pipes have calcium deposits from groundwater seepage through cracks and joints, or have joints offset by tree roots from mature trees located on parkways. The deposits and roots are removed prior to lining. Lining of the pipes is a cost effective trenchless operation that lessens the construction impact to the streets and surrounding neighborhood.
The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $1,375,000.
