Statement of Issue:
On May 6, 2022 bids were opened for the Storm Water Pump Station Forebay Improvements Project (CC-1686). City Council action is requested to award the construction contract to Tharsos, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Financial Impact:
Funds for this project in the amount of $575,000 are budgeted within the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Additional funds in the amount of $300,000 are included within the proposed FY 2022-23 CIP.
The recommended action moves $770,826 from account 21188006.82500 ($575,000 - Drainage Fund) and account 31440006.82500 ($195,826 - Infrastructure Fund) for this project.

B) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a construction contract in a form approved by the City Attorney; and,
C) Authorize the Director of Public Works to execute change orders not to exceed 20% of the contract costs, or $128,471.
