Statement of Issue:
Plans and Specifications for the Zone 5 Residential Overlay Project, CC-1638, are being finalized.
Funding Source:
Total funds in the amount of $4,115,000 has been budgeted for the project. This includes $2,805,000 budgeted in the Gas Tax Fund, $1,000,000 in the Infrastructure Fund, $100,000 in the Sewer Fund and $150,000 in the Water Fund.

Analysis:
This project will rehabilitate the pavement for approximately 80 of the worst residential street segments in Maintenance Zone 5. Maintenance Zone 5 is bounded by Yorktown Avenue to the north, Beach Boulevard to the east, and Pacific Coast Highway to the south and west. Work will include limited localized pavement repairs, crack sealing, cold milling, striping, and an asphalt overlay. The Engineer’s Estimate for the overlay is $2,900,000 with the remainder of funds for the project going to supplementals and future slurry of streets within this zone.
